In order to ensure that any payments you make are secure you should choose a villa that is legally registered with the Tourism Association of Ibiza.

This legal registration also guarantees that high levels of quality, service and facilities have been met, in addition to officially required safety standards and insurance to cover all relevant contingencies.

All too often in the past holiday-makers arrived to find that their villa hadn’t been properly cleaned, didn’t match up to its description, or had no water or electricity.
In the worst case scenario nobody turned up to meet them at the airport and the phone numbers they’d been given didn’t exist!

None of this was good for the island’s global reputation, so the authorities clamped down on holiday villa rentals by issuing licences to tourist villas, and heavy fines to those without a licence.
