Can Gat can be found in the countryside just 500 metres from the quiet and charming village of San Carlos, some 8 km north of the market town of Santa Eulalia. And this being the East coast of the island, there are a selection of a dozen or more beaches, each with their own character, within 10 km of the property. The famous Las Dalias Hippy Market is a 400 m walk from the house.

The farmhouse itself is one of the more traditional in the area and, in fact, dates back to the nineteenth century, although it has been completely renovated since the turn of the century. The owners have preserved the authentic feel of the old country houses of Ibiza, yet combined this with all of the modern comforts of our time. This combination makes it an ideal Ibiza Holiday Villas holiday home.

On entering the house you encounter the traditional entrada, the main living room, which serves as a dining room too. This is comfortably furnished and has a fireplace, Sat-TV, hifi and Wifi. There are also two comfortable bedrooms with twin beds and a full bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen is one of the jewels of the house covering 25m² of space and including an original fireplace lounge.

A spiral staircase ascends the house’s tower leading first to another living room with a large outside terrace with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. This contains a sofa bed, which can be used to expand the house’s capacity to 8 people, if required. At the top of the stairs you enter “La Suite” which comprises a delightful and large bedroom with a full bathroom with tub, plus a terrace overlooking the village and surroundings.

Outside the estate of Villa Can Gat covers 30,000 m², occupied by a variety of fruit trees. Beyond that the country roads offer splendid walks through the nearby forests. On the doorstep, however, you find a quiet 4 x 9.5m swimming pool with Roman steps and a depth 1 to 1.90m with extensive terraces, all surrounded by fruit trees and natural grass. Alongside is a beautiful barbecue area, an outside bathroom with a shower and a full laundry with a dryer.

Furthermore, for those who love sport there is a private, yet professional, floodlit ‘paddle’ court.

All in all, a perfect and relaxed place to enjoy a few days surrounded by nature.
